Being right on the mark isn’t new to Brian Bythrow. In high school he discovered a talent for rifle shooting—a talent healthy enough to prompt his dad to build a shooting range in the basement, plus garner admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy. There, Captain Bythrow was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and led the U.S. Air Force International Rifle Shooting Team to several marksmanship records. He also just happened to take an Academy finance class. Intrigued by the “art of investing,” Brian pursued an M.B.A. with a focus on finance immediately after graduation. He found a familiar rush in setting his sights on hard-to-find value companies at Monogram. Brian’s keen instincts continue to serve him at Wasatch Funds. He co-manages the Micro Cap Value Fund and spearheaded the launch of the Heritage Value Fund, both beneficiaries of Brian’s ability to find intriguing value opportunities. Beyond the office, Brian serves his community by supporting worldwide orphanage and adoption efforts and by providing free “good sense” financial courses to local community centers and churches
