The way I see it, they need something to force the issue of Flash memory lets say 774 ....while at the same time not have it totally dedicated to flash media....especially details that have nothing to do with the memory used.....ie... the collective claims of the micro-controller, switching....code interface.

At some point in the future, "over write"(as opposed to having to erase, or flash) media will happen. That new media will be devised on the simplest architecture, which is the reason e.Digital, if it ever gains any significance, is all about.
