Intel is expected to introduce its Capella platform in late September. Based on the upcoming Nehalem-class mobile quad-core Clarksfield processors, the platform is anticipated to introduce a new era in mobile processors. Designed for high-performance laptops, the platform has a release date of September 23, reports X-bit labs.
Initially, Intel will launch three chips with the platform, says Register Hardware. The three chips -- the i7-720QM, the i7820QM and the i7-920XM -- all have four cores and support HyperThreading technology, and have batch prices of $364, $546 and $1054, respectively.
