In that ability, the consideration of fault tolerance is not having to maintain directive structures ie...FAT.

coupled to this....

In creating... recorded data.....NO RAM resource necessary in maintaining directive structures....the only thing that is held in a volatile state at risk, is within a high speed...ie.. SRAM....sized to one read / write block of a non-volatile memory......that risk can be devised to the least minimal loss depending on the memory....ie...NAND 256 bytes=1 R/W block... or, as low as NOR 1 byte=1 R/W block.

you will lose a tiny bit of data.....however, you will not lose all data based on allocation tables held in RAM resource.
