SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2005--Macromedia, Inc. (Nasdaq:MACR) today announced the third annual MAX conference, which will be held October 16-19 in Anaheim, Calif. MAX 2005 will give designers and developers a forum to share ideas with their peers, as well as get hands-on technical training, gain new skills, network with industry leaders, and attend sneak previews of upcoming Macromedia products. The conference will also highlight the power of the Macromedia Flash(R) Platform (announced June 6, 2005; see separate release) to deliver the most effective experiences for rich content, applications, and communications in a range of industries, including financial services, education, government, and telecommunications.

``This is shaping up to be the most incredible conference we have ever hosted,`` said Kevin Lynch, chief software architect, Macromedia. ``The Flash Platform is continuing to evolve dramatically this year, and MAX will be the place to engage with the latest developments.``

MAX 2005 will feature more than 90 unique workshops and hands-on sessions, technical support labs, a cyber cafe, partner exhibits, ``birds-of-a-feather`` networking events, and presentations by key industry figures -- including keynote presentations by Stephen Elop, CEO of Macromedia, and Bruce Chizen, CEO of Adobe Systems.
