If you hold a notable position, and we all do relatively speaking, and think the stock is bound to be higher in 3-6 months from now, the difference between buying at the current bid/ask spread is insignificant and Arkie makes a good point.

However, it is human nature to try and get the best deal you can. Right now there is no need to chase it but if RP does our bidding then getting it at the ask will once again seem like a good deal....and you might be lucky to hit the ask before they move it higher.

That has to happen at some point if we are to expect a return on this investment and buying at the ask does enhance your overall position even if that means you spend an extra few bucks in the process.

But you can't force the market...it will move when it is good and ready...just bulking up while it appears the market is in the dark.
