Interoperability lab launches voice over WLAN testbed
The University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL-Durham, NH) has launched an industry reference testbed for voice over wireless (VoWLAN) testing.
The testbed combines a VoWLAN test suite with the lab’s extensive wireless testing facilities and consists of 138 access points from 35 manufacturers, several shielded RF testing environments, open-air testing, Azimuth Systems’ W-Series 802.11 test platform, and Veriwave’s WT1210 traffic generation and analysis platform. Other resources include call and signal generators and voice-quality analyzers from manufacturers, including Agilent Technologies, Empirix, Ixia, Navtel, and Spirent.
