Suppose you sue me, claiming that I wronged you to the tune of a $100.
At first I insist that I didn't wrong you.
Then I ask if you'll settle for $90 and you accept.
Is that not a "win" for you?
Suppose I ask if you'll settle for $10 and you accept.
Is that not a "win" for me?
