I may not be totally correct on this, but my understanding is that B/E started out as an IFE business with an inferior product, and sold all interests in IFE to dedicate attention to other airline amenities (seats, food service products and oxygen delivery). I believe they sold the 51% of their IFE business to Sextant as you note, then the rest of it to them in increments. I haven`t found any direct ties between B/E and an IFE provider (other than Wencor), though apparently they do build seats set up to accomodate IFE per customer specs, and the IFE (e.g., Thales) is installed in the seats after delivery. That`s my understanding after some research, but....
