Interesting comment/thoughts I must say.
Dischino, Mafia Don.
Seriously, BSEE Jan-1971 Cal State Univ Long Beach.
My work field was infrastructure electrical power distribution and control products as an equipment supplier to electrical contractors, utilities, industrial users, OEM's and occasionally HVAC types. Everything electrical you can think of, I did for nearly 40 years.
Hi-tech EE stuff was not my line of work, yet components of such were within the finished product that I sold. I must say hobby or not, doni and emit are very knowledgable and I can follow along, but cannot add too.
After 10 years or so, I think many without a technical background, even a guy who pulls teeth or argues in court, can pick up enough techy stuff to contribute comments relative to why EDIG has the goods everyone must have, and the proof is, some 184 companies stold it.
I liked your thoughts, but not sure everyone for privacy sake will care to say what they do/did do, or consider it relevant to discussing EDIG matters.
None the less, transparency works for some but not all.

Shhhhh....the BSEE stuff is just my cover.
