OPTi Inc. said Friday it was awarded about $21.7 million in a patent infringement case against Apple Inc.
OPTi said the final judgement was made in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
The court ruled that Cupertino-based Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) infringed a patent for cache memory, OPTi said.
The company, based in Palo Alto, sued Apple in January 2007.
In April 2009 OPTi reported a $19 million verdict in the suit, and the latest ruling added $2.7 million in pre-judgment interest.
