SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Technology stocks rose in early trading Wednesday, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index ($COMPQ) up 4 points to 2,070. TiVo Inc. (TIVO) was the big gainer, rising 54 cents, or almost 8%, to $7.53 after the company said its TiVoToGo portable video service would now work with pocket computers and mobile phones that run Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) software. Other gains came from Apple Computer (AAPL) , Dell Inc. (DELL) , Texas Instruments (TXN) and Cisco Systems (CSCO) .
