This time we are sure there will be money in the Next 10Q that was paid by Samsung...
However, the more exact approach we know not what the terms of the settlement are...
I refuse to be believe that DM would drop the "Golden Opportunity" to get get his Markman Ruling against an entity like Samsung...
DM had Chosen well. Samsung was the quintessential perfect defendant to get the case to a Judge, and ultimately to a Jury for a FAT VERDICT against a very DEEP POCKET defendant...
The PR this morning states the term of the settlement as follows:...
"Under the terms of the confidential agreement, Samsung obtained a license and release on e.Digital’s foreign and domestic patent rights, including the Company’s Flash-R™ patent portfolio, and e.Digital obtained a license and release on certain Samsung patents. e.Digital also received a one-time licensing fee."...
IMO unless there is more to the cross licessing agreement, there is no way the "One time licensing Fee" paid by Samsung will be less than what they are paying to SanDisk annually, assuming that agreement is still in force and operational...
Why, the value of a "Positive Markman Ruling" against Samsung alone would have a vlaue far exceeding that number, in terms of PR affecting the the claims against the remainder of the 174 infringers...
Todays sorry affair was no more than what I call the "Swoosh effect", the sound of the bunch of traders who chase penny's manipulating the emotions of people like us, (at least they think so, runnig through the door following the idiotic maxim that has no place in a penny stock dealings of "Buy on the rumors and sell on the News"...
This stock is going higher, because its fundementals are going higher, and when the Markets have gotten around to Notice it becoming a viable part of the FLASH industry, it will be free of tradres, and MMS fighting it out for few pennys at a time...
