With this in mind, I look at the above subject and scratch my head.... Quiet times are gone? On the contrary, quiet times are here. The company is quiet, and many posters are quiet. It`s the near term optimism that appears gone and that is what is prompting the waxing nostalgic (IMO). With that thought, consider the thought that KMB1 voiced recently - it`s all about attitude. We appear in need of an attitude adjustment.
While it may be true that nothing significant should be expected for awhile, there is always that possibility.... But thoughts along these lines require that seemingly lost near term optimism. One thing we do know with EDIG is that things thought as possibilities for the very distant future can happen sooner than expected, or not at all. Things can come out of the blue....
We`re in June. EDIG ``expects`` to provide a business update this month (before the end of the quarter). DigEplayers with ethernet have been ordered by Wencor. Other things are undoubtedly in the works. How many engineers? How many projects to keep them busy?
I choose to remain cautiously optimistic for the near term, and more optimistic for the long term. Attitude! That order for 10,000 digEs could come at any time, and that`s all it would take to really turn things around IMO. Just 5,000 units, and nothing else, would probably provide enough profit to cover our burn rate and make us profitable. Overly optimistic? Perhaps. But I rather stumble along with THAT attitude.
Maybe the holiday we should focus on is the Forth of July, with a little fireworks! Am I setting myself up for disappointment? Maybe, but that`s life. But in the mean time I`ll be a little bit happier, I think.
But, alas, I KNOW nuttin`!
Cheer up folks! Just maybe (EDIG`s) silence is golden!
