Transparency

What some of us is looking for at this time is transparency. Between keeping silent and saying something that will not damage the company there is plenty of room to manuever. As LL has argued and I have mentioned several times now the company has to communicate with us a number of things- not the least of which is how many law suits DM is prepared to inact. Notice that giving just a number does not reveal their strategy to anyone. Tell us whether they are working on new products does not jeopartize their position. Well all of us can think questions we need answers to. What it amounts to is to tell us how they earn their salaries. The way these guys behave makes me think that the settlements, for all practical purposes, secured their employment for several more years without any benefit for the shareholders. Whether I am right or wrong only these guys may prove it.

Joe asked for a plan. Before we get excited to earn a seat in the BOD, why don't we give them a chance and see their reaction to a number of letters that ask our questions. The more people get engaged in this activity the better they will understand that the old ways of running the company won't do. My suggestion then is this: write letters to FF and RP asking your questions. The volume of letters will provide the message at this point and depending on the answers the board can debate the next step.
