As great as a buyout would be, I see nothing to indicate that happening.
I have never heard management was looking for a suitor, but anything can happen as many of their infringement targets are fully capable of taking EDIG out.
This is their latest guidance.
"Based on its early licensing success, the Company anticipates further legal and licensing activity, additional patent enforcement actions, and additional IP-related revenues this fiscal year. However, there can be no assurance of the timing or amounts of future license revenues."
It looks to me that fiscal 2010 will either finish strong or be set up for a lot more good news.
