A basic install would require the wireless access through a portable data loader with 802.11a ability...if not how would they load content to devices spread out in the cabin ?

Hence the e.Digital pr states....Ethernet-enabled digEplayers(TM)...who ever wrote this was specific enough to include the trade mark.

If the servers are ready...IMO e.Digital would have been a part of that development....because they would have had to supply complementing protocol to communicate with the seat devices....the authentication arrangement is unique at broadcast and receive....for hardwire and wireless.
