IMHO if there`s any Kino deal, it`s going to be a big deal. Kino is all about content. It`s been emphasized countless times in various contexts ``Content is King`` ``The issue with video players is it requires simple downloading of content. So far that hasn`t happened``, ``Most people don`t have the time or know how to download content onto their PVP, Thats why they haven`t made a hit yet`` Anyone that has talked to management in the past 6 months has heard these or similar points emphasized.

At the very least Kino means content... Content means studio`s. Kiosks mean rapid tapping into that content. Rap Tap (Thats a deduction not a given) My point is that if content is king then studios have to be involved and if studios are involved, then this is a very big deal.

Then comes the question, are the Kiosks part of a franchise thats sold to the mom and pop variety stores, seven 11 convenience stores or are they at an entirely different level like Blockbuster or Walmart. (Walmart just sold their DVD mailorder business: simple economic decision or making room for a new business model)Big deal could be Hugh deal.

Whats in it for studio`s? Another revenue stream. Early release of content in advance of DVD`s with better than DVD quality targeting the home theater audience. The ability to accomodate a limitless supply of one feature without running out. The customer never incurs a late fee and has the ability to take it along for the ride whether it`s on a vacation or to a friends.

The indication is that news is pending. Time will tell.
