Wasatch Advisors has re-opened all of its micro cap funds to new and existing investors. This is the first time since March of 2000 that the flagship Wasatch Micro Cap Fund has been open to new investors.

Dan Chace, portfolio manager of the Micro Cap Fund, summed up the sentiment of the portfolio managers saying: The Russell Micro Cap Index is now down 43% from last year and more than 36% year-to-date. Amidst the market turmoil we are seeing extremely attractive valuations on micro cap stocks, and many micro cap companies continue to deliver earnings growth. It is impossible to know precisely when the markets will reach bottom, but we believe this is an excellent time for investors with a long-term horizon to put money to work and are therefore re-opening our funds.

As always, Wasatch will carefully monitor mutual fund assets in order to protect the integrity of our investment process and objectives for each Fund. We will close these funds if the portfolio managers believe additional assets will impede their investments. All 14 Wasatch funds are now open.
