Why on-topic? EDIG is still on the boring side and will continue, IMO, to be boring until the PRs or YE statements are ready in about five weeks. Plus, without guidence / letter from / whatever, it will be boring very shortly thereafter until the ASM -- which has yet to be a scheduled reality show staring the owners of the company -- that`s us -- and their tap dancing friends from the management team.

The video player market is still about the availability of premium content and accessible TV show files. As it becomes easy to get and plentiful, the pPVP will be more and more common.

The iPod is hot today (kinda), but it will soon be just another buggy whip. Your cell phone, your PDA, and a host of new toys will take the space, cost less, and provide many more features like your Outlook contacts list, or Word, real games, or even Excel. New portable keyboards are in the market and coming to the market now. Lots and lots of convergent devices to come by Q4. Some will make it. Some won`t. There are a lot of good products that never make it due to poor distribution, bad timing, and the lack of clever marketing.

Maybe ole Fred will hook us up with a brand that has a clue. Otherwise, it`s wait and see what IFE brings to the table through EDIG`s current white knight, Wencor.
