Management is certainly telling us that though IFE is paying the bills, their audio/video Kino platform could be huge for the company. In several press releases the last few months, they`ve touted their progress in landing new business opportunities.

Beyond the recent MicroOS™-powered digEplayer orders, we are encouraged with the progress being made on business opportunities involving enhanced versions of our proprietary video/audio technology platform outside of the in-flight entertainment industry,” commented Atul Anandpura, president and chief executive officer of e.Digital. -- 17 May 2005

Anandpura continued, “Progress has been made on the Kino™ version of our video/audio technology platform, as well as on developing business opportunities for devices incorporating this proprietary platform for high-speed video download kiosk-centered businesses. We are also advancing new products and business opportunities in areas beyond our video/audio technology platform. In connection with new and on-going areas of business, we are making changes to augment our sales and marketing efforts.” -- 3 May 2005

Anandpura continued, “Last quarter, we refined and augmented the Kino™ version of our video/audio technology platform for meetings with prospective customers at the January 2005 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Based on the meetings held by us, and those of an established Asian customer, we expect revenues this year from the sales of branded Kino-based devices. We also continue to develop promising opportunities for devices based on our secure video/audio technology platform for high-speed video download kiosk-centered businesses.” -- 14 Feb 2005

I think our Kino-based platform may be our first true homerun and hope to hear more about it in the coming months. Things are progressing nicely and I feel things are starting to boil.
