Pam,
I understand how you feel, and you're certainly entitled. Obviously the fact that we have purchased shares have assisted in keeping the doors open but that is not the only reason we're here. Tell you what, go to the gas station and buy enough gas to fill your car up, now pull out the ECM (engine computer). You can invest in all the fuel you want, but without the brain you're still walking. If you really believe that the "only" reason the company has remained "alive" and is viable today is because we bought shares. You're fooling yourself, and if you admit we are not the only reason, then you have to admit that managements role was vital too. Imperfections and all.
I have some corporate experience. Have you been part of any start up company? From the ground up, with minimal funds? See the rest of my earlier questions. I have not yet heard from anyone with direct comparable experience let alone an individual who has the experience and can provide direct "real life" examples of how anyone would have done any better. It's kinda like Survivor, even if you don't like one of the last two or three, there's no denying that their strategy worked as they're still there. And so are we while countless others folded close to 10 (count em) 10 years ago.
The reason I am voicing them now is because things are changing fast and because we finally have those elusive opportunities within reach..and it's a new day. I think the company can finally shed the generalities (without fear) and be detailed, truthful, and transparent to the full extent that they can and under SEC guidelines. They owe us that much and more.
I too would love more information, but am not in a position with this company to know whether or not releasing it would benefit or harm the company. You said "I think the company can finally shed the generalities..." What do you base this on? Experience or just how you feel? I see very large successful companies being very general in their public announcements, many hold new products and strategies until the very day of release.
"They owe us that much and more...but let's be clear..it's due to us...we gave it to them."
You may be right, you need to express yourself to management. Perhaps the best place would be the next ASM.
