For me it does...however, it pissed off many.....and does to this day.

From the beginning it has always been about being agnostic....for that endeavor you need apps or show a capacity for the system....IMO.. they have done that exactly.

If e.Digital had not gone on their own to develop the different facets....would it have gotten done ?

NO !

It`s now done for the most part .. available as Application add on...to anyones desired system.

audio with all aspects ie: voice activated command to voice recording...is part of a total all-encompassing system.
