Yep, the world`s greatest buggy whip manufacturer said the same thing. Bussiness cycles, product cycles, and new tech will continue to change lots of companies at an ever increasing pace.
I remember posting that Apple will have to continue to innovate or head the way of the buggy whip after the iPod explosion. The response was ``no way`` Apple as they are the latest and greatest...and they WERE. What will happen when Nokia and Samsung add high capacity DMPs to cell phones, with MS Outlook included, and MS Office? Apple stock has dropped over 20%. Those who bought at the height of the iPod revolution are getting pissy. Products and brands in this space simply have to reinvent themselves quickly.
Apple may or may not be King of the DMP Hill this time next year. This means opportunity for new multi functional platforms...and mix in a little proven security...we get a bowl full of opportunity for several companies to stick their foot in the door. With a little luck and clever brand marketing, they get to sit at the big boys table until the next guy shows off a better mouse trap.
Let`s just hope for a little EDIG into some of the newest and longer lasting product cycles.
