Important clarification:
The meeting was not called to order yet, thus no official statement was made.
The quote" "we are not for sale for less than $21/share" was said and that's what we all heard. SP's guess is as good as my guess that we could be bought if the price was right...everything is for sale right?
I failed to make a very important point in my post, so you just jogged my head.
A chart in the presentation showed the growing CE market, and it was exponential, with 2006 being 30 Bln with a B. It was so estimated by the presenters that 2008 #'s would come in at 50 Bln. 2009...I have seen no estimates?
Us baby boomers like all these CE gadgets right? What about our kids and their kids? Could 2009 be 60 Bln? Could 2015 be 100 Bln?
If so, those who say EDIG's tech is not worth 5 Bln in a buyout today, might want to think about it.
Again, prior to the meeting being called to order, a discussion of a hostile take over was flying around the room, due to the Samsung bid at $26 for Sanwhoever? RP said, "that cannot happen to us, as we have a poison pill."
My speculation...Polis family in total around 29 Mln shares, or owns 10% of the company. POISON PILL?
$21/share is about 5 Bln with a B.
This is about as far as I get with DREAMING.
Hey, this could happen...WOW if so.
I'd bet my posts will be on RB before the day is over...ROTFLMAO!!!!
