That was me....I was sitting no further than 3 feet from it and other airlines also...KLM, Lufthansa, Alaska, British Air and a few more that I listed here a long time ago but due to my advancing senility I have forgotton who they were. I believe Edigerteri has my post on this subjuect...

The IFE industry is in its infancy. I think we all have had expectations as to the how quick we will be ``stinkin rich``.

As with an new industry it takes time for the baby to grow.

I am encouraged, even with the lack of news, that the DP is the only IFE out there that has 13 airlines as customers. From what we been led to believe this figure will continue to grow. In fact I don`t believe American Airlines has contracted with the PEA as yet and that was/is the PEA`s only customer that I know of.

We are bombarded daily about this IFE and that IFE but have not heard of airlines jumping aboard unless they are embedded in the aircraft at the time of it manufacture. (And those are NOT revenue generators, but in fact, detract from the bottom line)

Wencor still recogonizes the potential of this technology. Just look at their hiring for the IFE alone. I feel it is just going to take more time than we thought/wish.

But what the heck, we can always leave our EDig certificates to our great, great grandchilden....
