You guys refuse to believe that the system is still utilizing the same protocol as the digEplayer(its content approved).....the only difference between the DigEplayer and the digEsystem...is that the system is capable of driving both standard along with the original specialized protocols.

It has not change other than adding optional configurations...ie: USB 2.0 and IEEE1394(for wireless network)

I need to find the article I read in regards to Panasonics new system.....the units are battery powered as well as being able to hook into a hardwired system....there was a quote that they have the option of taking out the batteries or leaving them in...and would more than likely leave them in...I though I marked it and now I`m un able to find it.
