Is EDIG not agnostic and able to supply its technology to other parties ?

Most of EDIG`s licensing agreements that have been mentioned in company PRs indicate ``non-exclusive`` licensing agreements. I thought that was the point of being agnostic.
Maybe the ``digEplayer`` brand is APS`s but is the technology an exclusive, and if so, for how long...
Portalplayer supplies other companies with platform designs. The ipod may be Apple`s but the technology is portalplayers.
Any company can become a target for acquisition under the right circumstances...
