You just never know...stranger things have happened.
If it FITS into Wencor`s strategy, it seems like a logical step.
From WENCOR`s PR:
``This acquisition is in line with Wencor`s strategy of increasing revenue through acquiring other companies and products both within the United States and across the world.
``This acquisition will improve APS`s ability to sell its products using Wencor`s world wide marketing strength. Wencor regularly sells products to 48 of the 50 largest airlines in the world and many other smaller airlines. In addition to being the number one provider of VOD portable entertainment product in the world, APS also has other airline industry products that Wencor will now market.``
WENCOR has place its stake in IFE. How aggressive they become will likely depend on how big they view this market opportunity.
It is something to consider, whether likely or not at this point in time. I doubt many considered an APS buyout this time last year, not to mention ``Product of the Year`` honors.
