Legal activity

From the 17 March PR:

e.Digital has licensed and settled five of the cases and expects further legal and licensing activity this month and throughout the year.

The term 'licensing activity' is clear in its meaning. It's the term 'legal activity' that intrigues me. Why would EDIG differentiate between legal and license activity unless they were two different issues? The Olympus case has a second motion for a partial stay through 31 Mar 09 (Tuesday) saying a settlement is being finalized. This is clearly the licensing activity they are referring to since we won't see any licensing activity with Samsung by Tuesday.

IMO, the legal activity means another lawsuit filed by Tuesday, with hopefully 15-20 defendants as per sunpoop's conversation with RP. How about we try and guess just five of the next defendants? My guess on the five defendants is: Nokia, Sony, Nokia, Sony, and Nokia. LOL. LL/Minister, from a legal perspective...is there an advantage to filing a new lawsuit before the FY ends? It would be a strong statement they could add to their annual 10K filing with the SEC. It would also mark another lawsuit filed only one year after the Texas Seven suit (filed Mar 08).
