AVID ELECTRONICS, CASIO AMERICA, LG ELECTRONICS USA, NIKON, OLYMPUS AMERICA, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS AMERICA AND SANYO NORTH AMERICA
The bolded above, have been noted as being either done or near done via pacer filings. As most are aware, SAMSUNG remains the only unsettled of the magnificent 7 infringers who EDIG filed against last March. Assuming pacer filings and results that follow remain consistent, I think most would agree that this will be the case.
We have about 3.5 weeks for PRs and company updates. That's a fair amount of activity coming our way in the very short term.
March looks to be quite promising as we should get a hint of the numbers moving to EDIG's bottom line along with an idea for the annual numbers.
And then there's the next list of infringers...due any day as we are almost complete with the first list just one year after they were announced.
SAMSUNG's exposure is likely much greater than that of the other infringers of that group. Assuming all the others found the previous settlement dollars appealing, SAMSUNG apparently does not, or they too would have settled.
Why is that?
