Are they giving too much away? Based on the premise that Nikon was included in the quarter data, the following amounts have been suggested.

LG $1.6 million

Casio $1.65 million

Nikon $2.0 million

Didn’t edig state that the initial settlement received a discount amount?

I’m guessing that both Casio and Nikon have a greater number of products and for a longer period of time that are infringing on our patents as compared to LG.

If this assumption is correct, then it appears as though the settlement amounts were low and perhaps discounted as well.

It would be nice to be able to evaluate the rationale used in deciding the amount for each company and a list of the products involved in the decision process.

Even though our ultimate goal is to see a high share price and investment returns, it is also appropriate that the shareholders should be able to evaluate the dollar amounts to determine if we are receiving a fair return on our investment against each infringer which settles.

Just a thought………
