Independence is a new one, and a quick tally suggests that this should be good for around 500 digEs (or $250K+ to EDIG revs, and $50K+ to the bottom line). How? Six West coast destinations, with (currently) two flights daily to Vegas (Have to presume that the new destinations will begin with just one flight per day.). That makes seven flights/planes per day using digEs. Assuming 50 digEs per flight/plane makes (7 X 50) 350, plus 50% in rotation equals 525.

Note that they`re only rolling `em out for longest flights. Now consider that APS/Wencor is already working on a revised business model with RyanAir to better accomodate short flights. That model could be applied to Independence (and others) as well, creating a great deal more demand for digEs.

In any case, as small as this may be, it is welcome.

Does this make #3 un-announced (by APS/Wencor) new airlines that Boyer mentioned? I`m thinking maybe so.....
