I have no problem with royalty payments as an ongoing revenue stream but DM appareantly thinks otherwise. That could change as they get the company on solid financial footing.
I wonder if it has something to do with the patent expiration dates or the sheer size of mass of infringers and the need and logistics for getting some quick strikes leading up to the Markman hearing.
However, I would not cast aspersions on a business model that could take us well beyond breakeven in less than a year. Due to the infringer numbers now being OVER 200, one time settlements projects out to a revenue stream for years to come...not a bad scenario imo....and not unlike a royalty payment.
