I hear what you're saying... and I am not saying that you haven't been accurate or truthful.
What I would struggle with in this particular case is the definition of the word: "discount". In the context of negotiations it could mean almost anything. I could also see DM/EDIG offering what amounts to a discount to settle without actually calling it that.
Regardless, as jefother has pointed out recently, any settlement would be largely based on the number and value of infringing units. As that will differ greatly from company to company, I don't know how we'd be able to determine whether a discount were given or not - even if we knew what it meant.
In short, I don't expect amounts to jump from 1.6M to over 5M just because there's apparently no longer any "discount".
