Here's exactly what I heard RP say at the SHM 9/17/08.

• "settlements in the hundreds of millions"

RP did not specify gross or net.

• "settlements before Markman"

He made no comments concerning how many settlements were expected before Markman, nor any comments as to their value.

• "we are not going for royalties, but a one time settlement fee and cross licensing agreements"
• "we have indentified 184 infringers and the list may grow"

These 4 points have been posted by many, and many times since 9/17, so draw your own conclusions. I certainly hope RP's recent statement pans out, as that would be terrific.
