PHILADELPHIA, January 7, 2009 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that it has named 13 attorneys in five practice groups to the firm partnership. These newly named partners are located in 10 different offices firmwide, including one in Hanoi.

Jeffrey Chamberlain concentrates his practice in patent prosecution, due diligence and patent litigation. He has experience in patent matters involving medical devices, medical imaging systems, communications-related electronic hardware and software, semiconductor manufacturing, energy generation and storage systems, building products, business methods and consumer goods. Prior to his career in law, he worked as a supervisor of nuclear reactor plant fluid systems engineering for nearly a decade. He is a 2000 graduate of the College of William and Mary School of Law and a graduate of Clarkson University, where he received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and Potsdam College, where he received his B.A. in Physics.
Giles Cooper practices in the area of corporate law with a focus on international law in Southeast Asia. He has experience with foreign investment and commercial law related to construction, mergers and acquisitions, securities, contract negotiation and drafting, banking and finance, and employment law. He is a graduate of Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, and the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and a registered foreign lawyer in Vietnam.
Richard Darke practices in the area of general commercial litigation. He has experience in a broad array of complex litigation, handling matters concerning banking and securities law, director and officer liability, antitrust violations, class action litigation, noncompetition agreements and trade secret misappropriation, construction litigation, breach of contract, fraudulent transfers, eminent domain and insurance coverage disputes. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University, earning a B.B.A. in finance and a minor in Japanese sociology and language.
Jay Ferguson practices in the area of commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on employment litigation. He has experience in defending against lawsuits involving claims for racial and sexual harassment; race, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation and disability discrimination; wage and hour disputes; trade secret and unfair competition actions; defamation actions; breach of contract actions; negligence actions; citations issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration; Fair Credit Reporting Act cases; WARN Act cases and restrictive covenant cases. He obtained his law degree from Mercer University Law School in 2000 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1994.
Damon Fisk practices in the areas of construction, professional liability, commercial and real estate law, with an emphasis on litigation in federal and state courts, including all forms of alternative dispute resolution. He has experience in the construction industry, including licensing, bidding, contract negotiation, contract administration, and litigation involving both public and private works ranging from single-family homes to large-scale commercial, industrial and government projects. His practice also incorporates transactional work, including contract drafting, mechanic's lien and stop notice issues, and real property transfers. He is a 2000 graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law and a graduate of the University of Oregon. He is proficient in Spanish.
Anthony Gallia practices in the area of civil trial law, with an emphasis on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. He has experience in multifaceted real estate transactions, including commercial real estate, development land and land-based operating business entities, contract disputes, non-compete disputes, manufacturer/distributor disputes, securities litigation, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. Gallia has handled civil matters involving significant personal injuries and wrongful death. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law with both a juris doctorate and master's degree in public administration. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton.
Michelle Gervais practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, marital and family law, real estate (with an emphasis on FDUTPA and Interstate Land Sales Act claims), foreclosures, insurance claims, domestic violence, professional malpractice, fiduciary obligations, antitrust and construction law. She also has extensive experience in asbestos defense and intellectual property claims, including complex patent litigation involving sports technology and the biotech industry. She is a 1999 cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where she was on the Dean's List and was President of the Moot Court Board in 1998-1999, and a cum laude graduate of Central Michigan University.
Vanessa Hew concentrates her practice in the area of intellectual property litigation. She has experience in copyright infringement, trademark and trade dress infringement, trademark dilution, counterfeiting, false advertising, patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets and federal and common law unfair competition in the fashion, personal care, food, music, film and publishing industries. She has experience in entertainment and media-related transactions, including brand integration agreements, joint marketing agreements, celebrity spokesperson agreements, sponsorship agreements, television, film and webisode production agreements, publishing agreements and music licensing agreements. She is a 2000 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and a graduate of Georgetown University.
Nicholas Isaacson practices in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on finance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Stone Scholar, and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with a double concentration in finance and econometrics and statistics. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, where he was a John Harvard Scholar.
Joseph Lemkin practices in the area of reorganization and finance, with particular emphasis on secured and unsecured creditors and debtors and trustees in Chapters 11 and 7 bankruptcy matters. He is a 1994 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and a graduate of Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
Matt Neiderman practices in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on disputes relating to corporate mergers and acquisitions, defense of stockholder class and derivative actions, and statutory actions relating to the governance and valuation of Delaware corporations. Neiderman advises boards of directors and their committees in all aspects of Delaware corporation law and has experience handling actions involving the interpretation of corporate charters and bylaws; actions by executives for advancement/indemnification; appraisal actions and stockholder requests for books and records. He is a 2000 graduate, with honors, of the University of Maryland Law School, where he was notes and comments editor of The Business Lawyer, and a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers, and a 1997 magna cum laude graduate of Utah Valley State College. He is fluent in German.
Junghye June Yeum focuses on international litigation, international arbitration and complex commercial and intellectual property disputes and negotiations. She has experience in matters involving international joint ventures, cross-border licensing agreements, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, failed investments and corporate governance. She is an arbitrator and domain name panelist of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to her legal career, she was a journalist with Korea Economic Daily (Hankuk Kyungjae Sinmun) in Seoul, Korea. She is a 1999 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as notes editor for the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review and a law clerk at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, and is fluent in Korean.
Matthew Yungwirth practices in the areas of intellectual property and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on patents, trademarks and unfair competition. He has represented clients in a diverse range of litigation and licensing matters related to technologies such as digital watermarking technology, Voice over Internet Protocol technology, wireless LAN systems, digital signal processing and audio recording devices, digital cable set top receivers and metallurgical casting devices. Yungwirth is a 2000 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as the managing editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, and he received his B.S. in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
