Where do you start in a negotiation? With a "pie-in-the-sky" 1st bid! Realistically, when you barter in any deal, you NEVER take the first price! Bargain the seller down! If his product isn't worth much, the price comes down! Why would the legal actions & settlements include cross-licensing that would build the value of the company due to the plethora of IP possibilities (through cross-licensing agreements) gained by the aforementioned legal settlements? You gotta start somewhere! Why not $21? If there is a counter-offer of $10, are you going to take your IP and go home??? Or would you counter-offer somewhere in between? If your IP is good enough...and enough is at stake.........
