While you may be correct, I suspect that no such coordination is required. The digEsystem manufacturer is just building components for installation. The Installing entity (Wencor?) MAY have to coordinate with a seat manufacturer(s), but I`d think only for convenience to facilitate installation (e.g., send us x number replacement seat-backs in our configuration). My opinion may fly in the face of that AirFax/IFExpress article which brought up seat manufacturers in connection with the digEsystem, however. But, again, I feel strongly that it would be the Installing entity coordinating with the seat manufacturers, not Maycom or whoever (who are building components in EDIG/Wencor specified configuration). And remember, Wencor has facilities for doing necessary seat-back alterations themselves, or independently acquiring the plastic in their desired configuration. That would serve for retro-fits. For new aircraft or aircraft where seats are intended for replacement in concert with digEsystem installation, coordination between Wencor/the installing entity and the seat manufacturer would make more sense. Also makes more sense where the existing seats don`t have easily replaceable/modifiable (plastic) seat backs, like if the seats are leather or something.
