I think Digecor thought Edig would go belly up before the case got to court. When the settlements appeared, and it was apparent Edig wasn't going anywhere, and in fact could now fight more vigorously, they had to rethink not just their game plan but their exposure.

This may have already been addressed in the multitude of posts today, but I wanted to get my 2 cents in. LOL
