I don't think so but I think he did hold up an MP3 player and at that time that entire concept was new. EDIG was entering that market and had the puck prototype, which later morphed into multiple forms, but as for your question, I don't recall it being the puck that was featured on the King show. However it did generate excitement that Gates was recognized this upcoming market segment, one which EDIG was staking a claim.

That's all a bit fuzzy now...others may remember it differently.

However, EDIG's Odyssey player did appear on the cover of PARADE Magazine.
