Most of these setllements shall have Non-disclosure clauses in them. The only time you will hear the amount announced is after a case has gone to trial and a Verdict has been announced...

But if we are talking about "settlements" it is to both party's advantage not to disclose any numbers. It does not make public that defendants were crooks, and it is to DM'S advantage as it gives them a free hand to negotiate the next one based on the facts of that case instead of what they did in the preceing case.
