Heavens to Betsy that I sound "realistic" like our resident "EDig Critic" but I am starting to feel the "bloom is falling from the rose", at least a little.
All of you who voted "change" may just be getting what you want.
If anticipated future policies of the "change" government take effect it seems almost certain business will soundly be negatively affected. We may see many "SALE....SALE" GOING OUT OF BUSINESS signs everywhere.
We will certainly see disposable income contract and only those items of a necessay nature being purchase by the general public.
To me that means the latest cell phone will not be purchased, nor will cameras with the newest gadgets. Televisions, DVD's, computers all will suffer. You will keep the one that works now.
Sales from all the manufacturers who produce these commodities, and others, will suffer. Their bottom line will suffer, not just a little but tremendously. The domestic automobile industry may be a thing of the past....(that is a very great possibility)
EDig produces only one product, an IFE that is strictly used on commercial airline, the eVu.
When all this "change" takes place many airlines may not survive, thereby denting the sales of the eVu.
No business, no business travelers...those that fill most of the airline seats.
Those that do not may curtail their IFE purchases, or in the case of American Airlines may demand large price concessions. EDig cannot survive selling the eVu below their costs while larger companies can.
EDig's survival may depend solely on lawsuits brought against IP infringers. If those infringers are the manufacturers mentioned above and their bottom line is adversely being affected, with some of them not surviving, just how many successful IP actions will there be?
Will there be enough for EDig to survive, prosper and reward us, at least without us waiting another ten years for success??
Even if DM is successful on a number of infringers what returns can we expect when the bottom line of those miscreants has fallen 90%? If any.
I am still optimistic.....EDig is still in the "cat birds seat"....However the rose is wilting somewhat.
