Depends on how they each see the future.

Samsung is trying to take over Sandisk and they're not making any headway.

Sandisk understands the future....and they charge license fees accordingly.

Sandisk is king of the heap, I think they can be taken out, or at minimum forced to give up a large % of the market they dictate.
