There are lots of boundaries...

USPTO........and origination, you only need have a store front here. Getting out beyond that issue is what you have identified with AT&T and MSFT. Both of these companies have store fronts in other parts of the world, having afforded remedies(WIPO). They are running an argument, centering the USPTO and it's authority, trying to stream line the fore mentioned remedies in a world wide climate. Lets hope AT&T prevails.

Perhaps a precedence will come from it that will benefit all US companies.

That includes....cases like e.Digital(USA) vs. LG(USA)
