The reason so many of us are positive about the settlement amounts, timing and quantity, is from the SHM and right out of RP's mouth, and THIS is why we are convincing ourselves:

1. "settlements in the 100's of millions"
2. "180 infringers and the list may grow"
3. "settlements before Markman"
4. "DM took the case on a contingency basis, with 40% to them and 60% for us"
5. "the digital electronics market for 2008 is 40-50 billion" Note: the chart showed 30 billion for 2006.
6. "the reason we put to a vote to issue 50 million shares is because if we needed 100 million we would have asked for it"
7. "we have enough revenue to see this through"

The reason for some negativity, IMO is:

1. we have not seen the beef yet
2. the market, as in our 401K's, IRA's or both, being down 40% in 12 months has us worried and negative in general
3. many in here have waited 8-10 years for this company to spread it's wings!
4. we have not seen anything in EDIG's bank account...YET.

There are opposing views in here and there should be. I think it's important to remind ourselves what was said on 9/17 and reported by many attendees.

Lastly, I'll really believe it when I see it, as it's not a done deal yet, but the deck is stacked in our favor. Like many, I'm having a hard time remaining patient, but there's no other choice.
