SILVER , agree for your commentary re BILL BOYER flip flop testimonial. his misinformation is going to be costly for him and digecor. This is the website of DIGECOR with lack of true story how DIGEPLAYER invented .We are going to ge them very SOON.
digEcor, originally known as Aircraft Protect Systems (APS), was founded in Seattle by Bill Boyer in 2000. APS's original product was a bumper for baggage loading equipment which today is licensed to and sold by Shaw Industries.
While working for Alaska Airlines as a baggage handler, Bill Boyer came up with the idea of having a portable in-flight entertainment device that didn't require any modifications to the airplane. Bill approached Alaska Airlines top management with the idea and the idea took off!
Initially designed for the Inflight Entertainment (IFE) industry in 2003, the digEplayer 5500 was the first handheld video on demand entertainment unit to be designed specifically for use inflight. Portable and lightweight, the 5500 comes with a battery and large selection of movies, TV shows, music already preloaded. Just 18 months after its debut, the digEplayer 5500 won the "IFE Product of the Year" award in 2004.
APS was purchased by Wencor in October of 2004 and the name was later changed to digEcor, since the focus of APS was now digital entertainment. The expansion of digEcor created more opportunities and provided more global coverage by adding offices around the globe.
In the summer of 2007, digEcor released the next generation of portable players - the digEplayer XT. With a larger LCD screen and hard drive, a lighter body, a longer battery life, and stunning detail, the digEplayerXT cannot be matched.
Today, digEcor provides many different solutions across many different industries. With years of experience, digEcor's team focuses on increasing traveler satisfaction, creating easily executed solutions, and generating revenue opportunities for clients.
Based in Springville, Utah, digEcor has offices in Seattle, Atlanta, Miami, Amsterdam, Shanghai, Singapore, and Toulouse, France.
