Tried some of this in Lexington, KY in 1971 at a friends house. He took this mayonaise jar out of the freezer (should have been my 1st clue) and said "take a big gulp of this home made booze." I did so, and caught on fire!! He got a big lick out of watching me suffer.

My Italian Grand Father made his own 18% "Dego Red" in his basement (Wellesley, MA) for 50 years. It was great stuff.

Had to chime in for good memories sake.
