Message: Well, a funny thing happened on my way back from the bar...

I would invest in gold, not stocks, if I had the income.
Gold will once again be the world standard, and dollars will be pretty useless
(remember after the Civil War? Our money will be worth about what confederate
money was after the collapse). YOU NEED TO READ SOME AND FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN AMERICA if you haven't been taking notice!

As for not stocks. Depends on how you look at the currency of a company.

Every company that trades, matches its currency to trades in all kinds of monetary denominations through out the world.

If the dollar goes away, is it's still worth holding the currency of say MSFT or GE?

Recently MSFT and others have made efforts to gain control of their currency.

Their tech is as good as gold, IMO. For the moment, it drives a considerable amount of commerce...and not just in dollars.

MSFT, IMO, is taking a defence mode, I was amazed to see the news.
