I see it TOTALLY different from you.
``We have been in a news blackout, no new airlines announced, and then this.``
NOT. While PANASONIC ``hopes`` to launch a 7`` portable later this year, EDIG investors have seen 10-12 airlines announce going live with the digEplayer and 6 more are slated to announce shortly, per news accounts.
The digEplayer has extended its battery life, content selections and has added multi-lingual programming in response to already having trialed in the market. That`s ``stuff`` these late entries get to experience in the months ahead.
Panasonic would do better by buying out the APS/WENCOR division or taking a stake in the ``market leader`s`` technology platform provider, EDIG, to hedge their bet that they can compete.
But that speculation aside, there`s APS/WENCOR w/ EDIG inside being mentioned right along side PANASONIC.
This remains tightly held in trade journals with no association of EDIG being involved.
This should only serve to be a base on which to build. Once the word gets out into the general market, it`s a new ballgame.
